The Miracle Is You: Strategy Guide

Amber/Amethyst Encanto song-engine. Every song fires three engines: +1 lore from Pepa Madrigal - Sensitive Sister, opp hand reveal from Dolores Madrigal - Within Earshot, and challenge protection for Isabela Madrigal - In the Moment. Mirabel Madrigal - Musically Talented recurs This Is My Family from discard for an unbounded 1-lore-draw-card loop.

Three pace checkpoints:

• Turn 2: Casita lands. Casa Madrigal - Casita at T1 plus a 1-ink character moved there on T2 starts the OUR HOME drip of 1 lore per turn from T3.
• Turn 4: Sing-engine online. Pepa-Sensitive-Sister + any song in hand by T4. Each song = 1 lore + the song's effect + a Dolores info trigger.
• Turn 6: Mirabel-Musically-Talented hits the board. Shift 4 onto a 2-3c Mirabel. From here you recur This Is My Family every quest. The deck closes on engine loops, not big bodies.

Song density rule. 10 songs in 60 cards = ~17% of draws. Pepa-Sensitive-Sister turns each into a free lore on top of the song's own effect. Look at This Family has Sing Together 7, so any group of your characters whose costs total 7 or more can exert to sing it for free, pulling up to 2 characters off the top 5 for zero ink.

Matchup role: tempo-grind controller. You don't race. You sing to 20 lore while Dolores draws extra and Pepa-Weather-Maker soft-locks their key quester.

Curve + at least one song. A 1c ink-fixer + a 2-3c engine piece + a song. Heavy density at 1/2/3 means most keeps land on curve, but song-less hands have no engine and must be shipped.

Always keep:

• Casa Madrigal - Casita + any cheap character to park there. OUR HOME pays 1 lore per turn from T3 onward. Best opener in the deck.
• Mirabel Madrigal - Prophecy Finder (2c 2/2 1-lore Support). On-curve T2. She carries no Singer keyword, but any character with cost 2 or more can exert to sing This Is My Family for free, so she covers that song once she is dry.
• Pepa Madrigal - Sensitive Sister (3c 2/4) + any song. CLEAR SKIES fires from her landing turn: +1 lore per song for the rest of the game.
• Agustin Madrigal - Clumsy Dad (1c 2/2 vanilla): slot-fills T1, quests T2. Inkable filler.

Conditional keep on the draw: Dolores Madrigal - Easy Listener (4c) if also holding a 1-2c bridge. Her MAGICAL INFORMANT cantrips when opp has an exerted character, and on the draw they have already quested, so the trigger fires.

Ship hands:

• Mirabel Madrigal - Family Gatherer (5c, and you cannot play her unless you have 5 or more characters in play) without a deep curve. Dead until T6+.
• Look at This Family opener with no cheap bodies to build 7 total cost. Sing Together 7 stays out of reach early. Ink it.
• Mirabel Madrigal - Musically Talented (6c Shift 4) without a Mirabel target.
• Zero-song hands. The lore math depends on 4-6 songs per game.

Ideal opening line: T1 Casita. T2 Agustin Madrigal - Clumsy Dad, then spend your second ink moving him onto Casita, so OUR HOME pays from the top of T3. T3 Pepa Madrigal - Sensitive Sister and quest with Agustin. T4 Mirabel Madrigal - Prophecy Finder, quest with Agustin and Pepa. That is 5 lore on the board by end of T4. T5 exert Prophecy Finder to sing This Is My Family for free: CLEAR SKIES pays 1, the song pays 1 more and replaces itself.

Singers + Mirabel engine:

• Mirabel Madrigal - Hopeful Dreamer: 3c 1/3 1-lore Amber/Amethyst dual-ink, Evasive + Singer 5. Premier singer: she exerts as cost 5 to sing The Family Madrigal for free. Evasive protects her. Drop T4, sing T5+.
• Mirabel Madrigal - Prophecy Finder: 2c 2/2 1-lore Amber. Support adds her 2 STR to a chosen char's STR on quest. She has no Singer keyword, but any character with cost 2 or more can exert to sing This Is My Family for free, so she covers that song. Best T2 play.
• Mirabel Madrigal - Gift of the Family: 5c 3/5 2-lore Amber non-inkable. Support plus SAVING THE MIRACLE: your other Madrigals get +1 lore on her quest-turn. With 3-4 Madrigals out that is a tribal lore surge.
• Mirabel Madrigal - Musically Talented: 6c 2/6 2-lore Amber/Amethyst dual-ink. Shift 4. HER OWN SPECIAL GIFT: whenever she quests, return a song with cost 3 or less from your discard to hand. THE ENGINE. Shift onto Hopeful-Dreamer for 4 ink, then recur This Is My Family every quest.
• Mirabel Madrigal - Family Gatherer: 5c 5/5 5-lore. NOT WITHOUT MY FAMILY: you cannot play her unless you have 5 or more characters in play. Late-game splash and the main Alma tutor target.

Song-payoff characters:

• Pepa Madrigal - Sensitive Sister: 3c 2/4 1-lore Amber. CLEAR SKIES, CLEAR SKIES: whenever one or more of your characters sings a song, gain 1 lore. Single most important engine card, so mulligan toward her.
• Pepa Madrigal - Weather Maker: 5c 1/5 1-lore Amethyst non-inkable. IT LOOKS LIKE RAIN: when you play her, exert a chosen opposing character, and it cannot ready at the start of their next turn unless it is at a location. Soft-lock, not damage.
• Dolores Madrigal - Easy Listener: 4c 3/3 2-lore Amethyst. MAGICAL INFORMANT: when you play her, if an opponent has an exerted character, you may draw. Cantrips on entry in most midgame states.
• Dolores Madrigal - Within Earshot: 1c 1/2 1-lore Amethyst. I HEAR YOU: whenever one of your characters sings a song, a chosen opponent reveals their hand. Reveal, not draw: see their answers, do not take them.
• Mariano Guzman - Handsome Suitor: 3c 3/4 1-lore Amber. I SEE YOU: he gets +1 lore while you have a character named Dolores Madrigal in play. With 7 Dolores copies in the list, that condition is live in most games.

Family enablers:

• Alma Madrigal - Family Matriarch: 3c 1/3 2-lore non-inkable. TO THE TABLE: when you play her, search your deck for a Madrigal character card, reveal it, shuffle, and put that card on top. Use it to set up the single Mirabel Madrigal - Family Gatherer or Isabela Madrigal - In the Moment.
• Julieta Madrigal - Excellent Cook: 3c 1/4 1-lore Amber. SIGNATURE RECIPE: when you play her, remove up to 2 damage from a chosen character, and if you did you may draw. Heal plus cantrip.
• Agustin Madrigal - Clumsy Dad: 1c 2/2 1-lore, no text. T1 quester and ink-fixer.

Threats + closers:

• Isabela Madrigal - Golden Child: 5c 3/4 1-lore Amethyst Evasive. LADIES FIRST gives +3 lore during your turn if no other character has quested that turn, so a solo quest is worth 4. LEAVE IT TO ME: once she quests, your other characters cannot quest for the rest of the turn. SEQUENCING: quest her first and alone for 4, or quest everyone else first and her last for 1. Never partial-quest before her.
• Isabela Madrigal - In the Moment: 5c 3/3 4-lore Amber non-inkable. I'M TIRED OF PERFECT: whenever one of your characters sings a song, she cannot be challenged until the start of your next turn. The protected 4-lore closer.
• Luisa Madrigal - Magically Strong One: 4c 4/3 1-lore Amethyst Rush, non-inkable. Tempo answer to an opposing 1-lore leader.
• Camilo Madrigal - Family Copycat: 6c 3/7 1-lore Amethyst. IMITATE: whenever he quests, you may gain lore equal to the lore of another chosen character of yours, then return that character to your hand. Pair with Family-Gatherer for a 5-lore swing and a replay.

Allies:

• Pico - Helpful Toucan: 2c 3/2 1-lore, no text. Above-rate strength for cheap challenge duty.

Songs (10 copies, ~17% of deck):

• This Is My Family: 2c Amethyst song, non-inkable. Any character with cost 2 or more can exert to sing it for free. Gain 1 lore and draw a card. Main cycler, and the song Musically-Talented recurs.
• Look at This Family: 7c Amber song with Sing Together 7. Look at the top 5 and reveal up to 2 character cards into hand. Zero net ink once your characters total 7 cost between them.
• The Family Madrigal: 5c Amber/Amethyst dual-ink song. Look at the top 5 and reveal up to 1 Madrigal character and up to 1 song into hand. Tribal tutor.

Locations:

• Casa Madrigal - Casita: 1c Amethyst location, 6 willpower, move cost 1. OUR HOME: at the start of your turn, if you have a character here, gain 1 lore. Pure tempo gas, and a 3-of for opening reliability.

vs. Amber/Emerald Aggro (Even): Watch for: one and two ink swarms that flood the board before you set up. Their wide board overruns you if Casita + Prophecy Finder don't land by T2. Pepa Madrigal - Weather Maker T5 buys a ready-phase skip on their key quester. Pico - Helpful Toucan (3 STR for 2 ink) trades up cheap. Don't try to race: Dolores-Easy-Listener cantrips refuel while you grind. Goal: 12 lore by T7 on engine value while their fuel burns out.

vs. Amethyst/Sapphire Evasive (Unfavorable): Watch for: Hades - Looking for a Deal, Dumbo-style Evasive questers, Sapphire hand-disruption. Their Evasive lore-leaders bypass your blockers. Your only Evasive answers are Mirabel Madrigal - Hopeful Dreamer and Isabela Madrigal - Golden Child. Dolores Madrigal - Within Earshot reveal is critical: see their disruption before it lands. Race plan: Isabela-In-the-Moment + sustained songs for 4 lore a turn from T6.

vs. Amber/Steel Steelsong (Favorable): Watch for: He Hurled His Thunderbolt, which deals 4 damage to one character, and Angel - Experiment 624 picking off your small bodies. Your song-engine outpaces theirs. Julieta Madrigal - Excellent Cook removes up to 2 damage and cantrips, but she cannot undo a full Thunderbolt, so keep a replacement body in hand. Mirabel Madrigal - Musically Talented recycling This Is My Family out-cards their entire sing plan. Pepa Madrigal - Weather Maker on the character they want to sing with costs them a whole song turn. Push Isabela Madrigal - In the Moment by T6: I'M TIRED OF PERFECT stops challenges while you keep singing.

vs. Amethyst/Steel Challengers (Unfavorable): Watch for: Beast and other strength-stackers plus Strength of a Raging Fire. Their big bodies eat your low-willpower singers. Most Mirabels die to a 5-STR challenge. Park a character on Casita so OUR HOME keeps paying, and expect them to challenge the location once they notice it. Win con: Isabela Madrigal - In the Moment + active songs = an unchallengeable 4-lore quester. One song a turn keeps her locked down, then run the clock to 20.

vs. Ruby/Amethyst Burn (Even): Watch for: direct-damage actions, Be Prepared banishing every character, repeated pings. Julieta Madrigal - Excellent Cook undoes early pings and cantrips. Their plan is to knock your characters off the board before you stabilize, and yours is to sing through it. I'M TIRED OF PERFECT only stops challenges, so damage still reaches Isabela Madrigal - In the Moment: out-pace them on lore rather than trying to hide her. Slight lean to you on engine density.

vs. Mirror (Amber/Amethyst Encanto) (Even): Watch for: their Mirabel Madrigal - Gift of the Family tribal-pump quest, and their Pepa Madrigal - Weather Maker exerting the character you meant to sing with. Whoever curves Prophecy-Finder T2 into Pepa-Sensitive T3 into Musically-Talented T6 first wins. Dolores Madrigal - Within Earshot info is huge in mirror: sequence around their Pepa Madrigal - Weather Maker. Look at This Family outdraws an opponent who lacks tutor density. Mulligan hard for a song plus a two-cost body plus Pepa-Sensitive.

Against Evasive-heavy meta (Evasive lore-leaders such as Hades and Dumbo): -2 Agustin Madrigal - Clumsy Dad / -1 Pico - Helpful Toucan / +2 Isabela Madrigal - Golden Child / +1 Pepa Madrigal - Weather Maker. That takes Golden Child to a full four, and LADIES FIRST turns a solo quest from her into 4 lore. Vanilla bodies cannot touch a board of Evasive questers.

Against hand-disruption / Sapphire control: -2 Camilo Madrigal - Family Copycat / +1 Dolores Madrigal - Within Earshot, taking her to four / +1 Pepa Madrigal - Sensitive Sister, taking her to three. Trim the six-cost discard target and lean on cheap repeating triggers.

Against Steelsong / song-on-song mirrors: -1 Mirabel Madrigal - Family Gatherer / -1 Isabela Madrigal - In the Moment / +2 Pepa Madrigal - Sensitive Sister, taking her to a full four. More CLEAR SKIES copies beat a single 5-lore Mirabel-Gatherer in a sing-heavy game.

Format note: this is an Infinity deck. After the July 2026 Core rotation, only 16 of the 60 slots are still Core-legal: Dolores Madrigal - Easy Listener, Julieta Madrigal - Excellent Cook, Luisa Madrigal - Magically Strong One, Look at This Family and Casa Madrigal - Casita, each of which has a Set 9 printing. Everything else, including the entire Mirabel package, both Pepas and two of the three songs, now sits outside Core. Build this one for Infinity and treat a Core version as a different deck rather than a swap list.

Outlook: Infinity does not rotate, so the list stays legal as printed. Its real weakness is a slow first turn when Casita does not open, so watch for any cheaper Madrigal or a second one-ink location to smooth that out.
