Frequently Asked Questions
After Midnight Tavern sells pre-built Lorcana and Magic decks. We do the research — tracking the meta, sourcing the cards, sleeving the deck — so you skip the spreadsheet and go straight to playing. Every deck arrives tournament-legal and table-ready.
What makes After Midnight Tavern different from buying singles?
We do the research. Singles sellers sell you cards — we sell you decks that are already meta-tuned, tested, sleeved, and kept current through every rotation. You skip the 3-5 hours of price-checking across 20+ sellers, reading meta reports, and waiting on 5 separate shipments. Your time stays at the table instead of in a spreadsheet.
What condition are the cards?
All cards are Lightly Played (LP) condition — tournament legal and functionally identical to Near Mint. LP cards have minor cosmetic wear (light scuffs, no creasing). We inspect every card in-house and reject anything below LP. Condition is disclosed clearly on every listing.
Can I play this at my local game store or a Lorcana Challenge event?
Yes. Every deck is format-legal and assembled from tournament-legal LP cards. Sleeved, boxed, and ready to play the day it arrives.
What happens when my deck rotates out of Standard / Core Constructed?
This is the whole point of our operating philosophy. When a rotation approaches, we do three things: (1) We plan to email you 4-6 weeks ahead so you're never caught flat-footed (Coming 2026). (2) For Core/Standard decks, we plan to offer a Refresh Pack at a fraction of the original deck cost — a small bundle of replacement cards that either restores Core legality or optimizes the deck for Infinity/eternal formats (Coming 2026). (3) Any deck with a rotating card is still legal in Infinity Constructed on day one of rotation. Your investment doesn't expire, regardless of when these programs launch.
What if a card in my deck gets banned?
We monitor ban announcements in real time. If a ban impacts your deck before it ships, we'll swap in a replacement or offer a full refund. If it impacts your deck after it ships, we'll email you and offer a discounted replacement card or swap guide. Our system automatically pulls affected listings the moment a ban hits.
How often are decks updated?
We review the Lorcana metagame weekly. Decks get retooled when tournament results or ban announcements shift the meta materially. You'll see an "Updated" tag on the product page when a list changes, and existing customers get a heads-up email if their deck is affected.
Do you restock sold-out decks?
Yes. If a deck is sold out, check back — we typically restock within a week. You can also contact us to be notified when a specific deck is back, or sign up for our newsletter in the footer for drop announcements.
Can I request a custom deck or a specific archetype?
Reach out via the contact page. We can't guarantee every request, but if there's demand for an archetype we don't carry we want to know about it. Customer requests directly feed our weekly research cycle.
Why don't your accessories use official logos or character art?
Short answer: we're a registered LLC building for the long haul, and fan-art shops on platforms like Etsy operate in a legal gray zone we've chosen not to enter. Using Disney, Ravensburger, or Wizards of the Coast logos on physical products requires a license we don't have. Those sellers do it anyway — many get away with it, many get DMCA takedowns or shop closures overnight. That's their call. Our accessories are original designs: our wordmark, our aesthetic, our geometry. No takedown risk, no "all our products changed overnight" moment. We think that's worth more than a Mickey Mouse silhouette on a lid.
What's your return policy?
We don't accept returns on card orders — condition is disclosed before purchase and all sales are final on singles. If your order arrives with a packing error, a damaged card, or anything other than what was advertised, contact us and we'll make it right.
