Three of the eighteen Format Coconut leaders are Ruby: Mickey Mouse, Mr. Incredible and Sisu. This page covers all three in full: what each deck actually wants to be, the archetypes worth trying, where each one falls down, and which cards outside Ruby support them.

A Coconut deck plays up to three inks, and only one of them has to match your leader. Picking an Ruby leader does not make you an Ruby deck. It fixes one slot of three and leaves the other two open, so the useful question is never “what does Ruby do” but “what does Ruby still need.”

Every card, stat and ability on this page was checked against current Lorcana card data before publishing. Where a beta ruling is genuinely unclear, we say so instead of picking a side.

New to the format? Start with how Format Coconut works, then how to build a Coconut deck.

What Ruby brings to a three-ink deck

Ruby is the removal ink and it owns the role outright: 23 of the 29 cards in the game that banish a chosen character are Ruby. No other ink has more than four. It pays for that with the shallowest draw in the format, just 23 cards, against the 74 in Amethyst.

That trade sets the shape of every Ruby Coconut deck. You will have the answers and you will run out of cards finding them, so your other two inks are usually paying for the draw.

Counted across every card currently legal in Infinity. “One-sided sweepers” means cards that damage every opposing character without touching your own; symmetric board damage such as Lyle Tiberius Rourke - Crystallized Mercenary is excluded. “Cards that draw” is a broad match and is best read as a ranking between inks rather than an exact total. Use this to pick the two inks you are adding, not the one your leader already picked for you.

The two rules that decide every entry below

If you have landed here directly, these are the two rules that make evaluating a Coconut different from normal deckbuilding.

  • The Coconut card is not in your deck. It costs no slot, it cannot be removed, and its ability is on from turn one.
  • Singleton counts full names, not characters. “A character named Stitch” is a deep well, because every version of Stitch is a different card you may run one of. “Two or more other Hunny characters in play” is a trap, because each one is a one-of that has to be drawn and then survive. When an ability cares about a name, that is good news. When it counts a classification on the board, be suspicious.

A third category is easy to confuse with the second and is actually fine: abilities that trigger when you play a card of a type need only one card at a time in hand, never density on the board.

Both are covered in full in how to build a Coconut deck.

We are deliberately not ranking these by power. The format is weeks old, not one deck in the public corpus carries a win rate, and anyone claiming to know the best deck is guessing. Read these as build briefs.

Mickey Mouse - Brave Little Tailor

Mickey Mouse character cards in your hand, deck, and discard gain Shift 2 ⬡.

Format Coconut card: Mickey Mouse - Brave Little Tailor (Ruby)

Unlocks 4x Mickey Mouse - Brave Little Tailor, an 8-cost 5/5/4 inkable Dreamborn Hero with Evasive.

The deck: the format’s best cost-cheat, and it is powered by exactly the rule that makes singleton weird.

Singleton caps versions, not names. There are 29 distinct Mickey Mouse cards in the legal pool, and you may run one of each. Every one of them is a legal Shift target for every other. The Coconut gives all of them Shift 2, so the whole pile becomes a two-ink chain.

Archetype, Tailor Made. Play a cheap Mickey early, then spend the rest of the game paying 2 to slam progressively bigger ones on top. The unlocked card is an 8-cost 5/5/4 with Evasive for two ink. And if you go into Steel, which holds nine of the 29, you get access to Mickey Mouse - Giant Mouse, a 10-cost 10/10/5 with Bodyguard that deals 5 damage to each opposing character when it is banished. For two ink.

Strengths. Nothing else in the format converts this much ink advantage this consistently. Shift also keeps the body on the board through the upgrade, so you are not re-exposing yourself to opposing answers each time. With 29 different Mickey Mouse cards in the pool, and singleton letting you run one of each, you will not struggle to find something to Shift onto.

Weaknesses. You need a Mickey already in play before any of it works, and if your opener has only the expensive ones you are paying full price for an 8-drop. The playset is one of the pricier ones to buy. And it is worth knowing that a big Shifted body still dies to effects that banish damaged characters or banish everything, which ignore stat lines entirely.

Two off-ink cards worth building toward. Steel holds nine of the twenty-nine Mickeys, more than any other ink, so it is the natural second colour. Mickey Mouse - Giant Mouse (Steel, 10 cost, 10/10/5) has Bodyguard and deals 5 damage to each opposing character when it is banished, and the Coconut lets you Shift it down for two ink. Mickey Mouse - Artful Rogue (Emerald, 7 cost, 6/5/2) stops an opposing character questing every time you play an action.

Mr. Incredible - Super Strong

Whenever you play a Super character, they gain Rush this turn and you may exert chosen opposing character with less ¤ than them.

Format Coconut card: Mr. Incredible - Super Strong (Ruby)

Unlocks 4x Mr. Incredible - Super Strong, a 5-cost 6/4/1 inkable Storyborn Super Hero with Shift 3, ALWAYS UNITED (+2 ¤ for each other character you have in play) and LET’S DO THIS! (whenever one of your Super characters challenges another character, draw a card).

The deck: one of the most-played Coconuts in the community, and the tightest package. It led our August 11 sample outright and sits third as of August 25, at 8 decks of 91.

Look closely at the trigger: whenever you play a Super character. Not “while you have N Supers in play.” That distinction is everything, because it means this tribal deck does not need density on the board, only one card at a time in hand, which is the one thing singleton can still deliver.

Archetype, Suit Up. There are 42 Super cards in the pool, concentrated in Steel with 15, Ruby with 11 and Amethyst with 10, so Ruby plus Steel plus Amethyst gives you 36 of the 42. Play a Super, it arrives with Rush, you exert their blocker, you attack, and LET’S DO THIS! draws you a card for it.

Strengths. Removal, tempo and card draw stapled onto the thing you were doing anyway. ALWAYS UNITED grows Mr. Incredible fast, which in turn makes the Coconut’s “less strength than them” clause trivially easy to satisfy against almost anything.

Weaknesses. It is an aggressive deck in a format that taxes aggression, since attacking pressures one opponent while two others advance for free, and the table notices who is ahead. The exert clause is also conditional rather than removal, so a big blocker just gets tapped for a turn. And Shift 3 wants another Mr. Incredible in play.

Two off-ink cards worth building toward. Only eleven of the forty-two Super cards are Ruby, so most of your tribe is off-ink by necessity, with Steel holding fifteen and Amethyst ten. Violet Parr - Learning New Powers (Amethyst, 3 cost, 4/2/1) is a Super with Evasive that moves a damage counter onto an opposing character as it arrives. Darkwing Duck - Drake Mallard (Sapphire, 2 cost, 4/1/1) is a four-power Super for two with Ward, so it is hard to answer outside of combat.

Sisu - Emboldened Warrior

All characters with more ¤ than each opposing character can quest the turn they’re played.

Format Coconut card: Sisu - Emboldened Warrior (Ruby)

Unlocks 4x Sisu - Emboldened Warrior, a 3-cost 1/4/2 inkable Storyborn Hero Deity Dragon with SURGE OF POWER: this character gets +1 ¤ for each card in opponents’ hands.

The deck: the strangest one in the set, and the one the player count pulls in two directions at once.

The Coconut gets worse with more players. The condition asks for more strength than each opposing character, meaning you have to beat every board in the pod, and each additional player raises the bar.

The card gets much better with more players. SURGE OF POWER counts cards in opponents’ hands, plural. At a four-player table with three opponents holding five cards each, that is a 3-cost character with sixteen strength.

Archetype, Big and Angry. Lean into the card rather than the Coconut. Run big bodies, use Sisu as an absurdly cheap threat, and treat the immediate-quest clause as an occasional bonus when the boards happen to be small, typically early or right after a sweeper clears the table.

Strengths. The cheapest enormous body in the format, at an ink cost anyone can pay. Right after a board wipe the Coconut switches on for everything you deploy, which makes rebuilding much faster than it should be.

Weaknesses. Sisu has 4 willpower no matter how much strength she gains, so every sweeper on the table kills her regardless. Her strength also evaporates as opponents empty their hands, which is exactly when they are deploying threats. And the Coconut is dead text on most turns of most games. Interestingly, people are working it out anyway: Sisu went from 1 deck in our August 11 sample to 5 by August 25, one of the fastest climbs in the format.

Two off-ink cards worth building toward. The Coconut only turns on for characters that outmuscle every opposing board, so you want the cheapest big strength you can find, and Amethyst quietly has the best rate. Morgana Macawber - Self-Centered Spellcaster (Amethyst, 3 cost, 5/3/1) and The Firebird - Force of Destruction (Amethyst, 4 cost, 6/2/1) are both vanilla bodies well above curve on power. Avoid anything that enters play exerted, since a character that cannot ready is a character that cannot use the immediate quest.

What people are actually building in Ruby

From every public community deck in the format, pulled 25 August 2026, 88 of them legal. Decks is how many people built one. Copies taken is how many times someone else copied that deck to play it themselves. Those measure different things and they disagree loudly.

CoconutDecksCopies takenCopies per deck
Mr. Incredible - Super Strong8597.4
Mickey Mouse - Brave Little Tailor5142.8
Sisu - Emboldened Warrior520.4

Mr. Incredible is tied for third-most-copied Coconut in the format, level with Tinker Bell at 59, and has the most decks in this ink. Sisu is the interesting one: five people built her and only two copies were ever taken, the second-worst ratio of any leader that has been built at all. Read her entry below before committing, because her condition is stricter at a four-player table than it looks.

None of this is a power ranking. Not one deck in the corpus carries a win rate, so nobody has performance data for this format, us included. Read the right-hand column as how much other people wanted to play it, which is useful and is a completely different thing from whether it is good.

The full eighteen-leader comparison is in the August format report.
